銘记粥品 Ming Kee Cantonese at Taman Danau Desa is a standout destination for lovers of authentic Cantonese comfort food in Kuala Lumpur. Nestled in a modest but inviting space on Jalan 5/109f, this eatery draws a steady crowd, especially on weekends, revealing its strong local appeal. Roasted duck is tender and juicy. Peanut and salted egg porridge is flavorful (thank you for giving a good amount of peanuts in the porridge) Steamed chicken is tender and not dry. Please keep up the quality of the food for years to come. Dining place a little small, so be patience if you wish to dine there. Do keep toilet dry and clean.

Food taste is good, portion is large. Chili taste less but still ok. Will revisit to try other dishes. This time I have ordered an onion ginger pork rice, duck breast rice, steam chicken. All taste nice. For beverage, ordered milk tea, very smooth but abit small glass and too less ice (I didn’t ask for less ice). Taste is great! Restaurant too pack. Too many tables and chairs to max out the space. Not suitable for long seating. Typical Hong Kong style.

MK Porridge at Taman Desa is easily my favorite outlet among the few they have — the taste and quality here are consistently better. Their signature fried porridge is a must-try, packed with flavor and comfort in every bite, and the roasted duck is equally delicious with crispy skin and tender meat. The outlet is cozy and not too big, but service is impressively fast. Be prepared for a queue, especially during weekends, but it’s worth the wait. Parking is via street pay parking, which is manageable. The place is kid-friendly and also wheelchair accessible, making it convenient for families. If you’re craving comforting porridge with a unique twist, this is definitely the branch to visit!

Overall the food tastes good and the environment is nice, they serve a variety of Hong Kong cuisines, would recommend trying this place out. Just a minor feedback, personally I think the spoon for porridge is a bit big, so it's hard to eat the porridge with it.(can't get all porridge in one slurp), no issue otherwise.

Had our lunch here today. This is our second time patronising this restaurant. Always very crowded. Luckily today no need to wait. Tried the Teng Zai porridge and the red roast pork rice. The porridge was good. The pork rice was average. Enjoyed the beverage which I can't recall the name but it had goji berries. The char siu looks good. Will come again to try their char siu wanton noodle.

Among the newest restaurant opening located along the same row as Starbucks and speedmart 99. Unique menu with a lot of Cantonese offerings. The curry shredded duck porridge to me is superb, nice curry flavour included into the broth and gruel, the duck also was tender with the crisp skin. Blends together nicely. Also tried the fried egg with mushroom and ‘shark fin’ lovely. Kids had their steam chicken rice, very generous portion with whole thigh, tender and juicy, with egg to boot could do with a bit more sauce with the rice or some traditional ginger with scallion paste, though their blended chilli sauce was nice. Other kid has the wanton noodles with char siew, the marbled meat was nice but quite a lot of hard part which was tough for the kid though I love the burnt bits, the ones with the fat layers was juicy and nice. Noodles were firm but lovely with the black sauce. Portion is large and price is ok for the taste and servings. They have a lot of other stuff so would love to try again. Expect some queueing and lines as the space isn’t too large and quite popular, they need to sort out their queue system to manage I believe it better to ensure those come first are in order and not cut by others in the confusion. A bit noisy when people talk due to the hard surface and lack of dampening material so don’t expect much in terms of quiet conversations when it’s full house.

Food is tasty & portions are decent. Pricing is reasonable. Efficient & accurate service. Tables are rather small & closely packed. Air-cond keeps things cool. Dropped by at around 8pm on Sat & there was a que to get a seat. Took ~15 mins before we were seated. BBQ & roast pork was sold out by then, so will be back to try both.

It serves chicken and duck rice and roast pork as main dishes Cantonese style. Porridge of chicken, fish n the mushroom type are available. Prawn and meat filling aka big wantan or dumpling is very good. If you like your chicken poached or braised, this is the place. For a price of rm13 tonrm16 per bowl, it is good value. The serving is quite big and you can share with your fellow diners. We ordered 3 plates, to be shared by 4 persons. Do give this place a visit, I recommend it if you loved your chickens non fried n healthy. Bon appetit!
